The photograph was at the begining of a four hour hike up a volcano, the maize looks like a ring of fire and there is actually a hidden Mayan ruin in the distance that the foreigners do not know about, its the smaller hill on the right of the Mary statue, which has a shadow overcasting it, this is really why I took the picture as the ancient Mayan belief system was an opposite spiritual symbol (in the sense that the Mayans celebrated the changing forces of Nature, the stars, the sun and the Universe) to the current dominant religious symbols but its buried underneath the forest and the shadows and is the Mayan peoples secret. :)

Also I updated the information on the first one u commented on so u understand the hidden secret of the picture and its real significance, as I have experienced the culture there, to me it seems that the current stronger religion has destroyed the Mayans lost ancient spiritual beliefs, if they practice their Mayan beleif system they have been accused of devil worship, which to me is a horrendous accusation and its just a form of brainwashing to make them ashamed of their original culture, when it should be celebrated and preserved, not destroyed and replaced by force.......but they have not lost their connection with nature and the spirit.

What its all about is being whole and balanced and yes being fragmented and unreal around people is more draining, sometimes with the challenges life deliver's one can feel that they are forever in the dance to balance all.. Its great you are reading psychology, I also read a lot of the same books by Freud and Satre and Hermen Hess when I was 14. I think for me it comes from trying to make sense of early life traumas and the crazy people around me! :)
