I'm working on... Bringing harmony and peace into all aspects of my life and eventually to help others do the same, if need be; I realize how important this is after nearly losing my own life. I am drawn to quarterlife, to network and hopefully meet similar minded and inspirational people with the courage to put words into action. I welcome people to contact me to talk about working together on documentary ideas as I have some great ones! Or for developing a project or people who want to talk about their own work and life experiences, or who may need some ecological consultancy advice for a project they are working on or just for an inspiring chat. "He who binds to himself to a joy, does the winged life destroy; he who kisses the joy as it flies, lives in eternity's sun rise." William Blake.

about me.
Life is but a dream then you awaken, so create! :)
I never take my health or the gift of life for granted. Life is too transient to not to appreciate the magical moments that quickly pass us by. The great thing is to be lucky and recognise the gifts that the universe brings into your life through friendships, loved ones and new opportunties to learn, love and be challenged by life's experiences.
I am a from England but my home is in Central America. I am an environmental biologist, artist and activist. Four years ago, I developed numerous projects born out of my research and passion for environmental and humanitarian issues. I needed a tool to deliver these projects, so I established a registered not-for-profit organization based in London, England. My interests brought me to live and work in Guatemala, where I became absorbed in the national and local problems which motivated me to develop a project to teach ecology to rural indigenous Atitecon Indian children. My objective was to help raise awareness with rural people on the issues development causes in this region. The environmental education and awareness project was aimed at encouraging wildlife conservation in the region. It was from this work that I ended up living in Guatemala. After which I had a series of unfortunate events lead me to make time for urgent self healing and nurturing. As a result I recently trained to qualify as a Qigong practioner and teacher, qigong that involves tai chi, kung fu and bagua. This involves internal and external healing and the survival arts (martial arts).
I was brought up by an artist in the UK and had a rather unconventional childhood. I have always lived on a existential angle in life, which has fueled my creative ideas at times. I never felt I belonged in the UK and always have been an adventurous spirit and attempt to live life with a very open mind and heart.
I grew up with art and have always had creative influences from art and media through my work, so I naturally incorporate it into all parts of life. I enjoy my home in Guatemala, I live in a volcanic crater on the edge of a large lake. The landscape is vibrant in many ways and is a breath of fresh air away from our western consumerist culture. I travel to other countries frequently and am much of an anthropologist and enjoy learning about different cultures and peoples perspective on the world and humanity as a whole.

that is a great picture though. i hope your new years was bearable. mine was peaceful, spent it with family. went to my godfathers memorial service on friday, it was beautiful, military style- everything he would have wanted. so many people there i was blown away. im healing, but hurting deeply for my godmother. im going to have to step it up and be there for her for anything she needs- which i want to do, she has done more for me than anyone in my life- her and my godfather. anyway, thinking of your february offer- sooooooo wanting to go but will have to see whats in store for me with work and the mom. :) miss ya, hugs.
