I would like to see myself as a writer, but I don't want to be one of those people that clings to the words. Sometimes I think you can get so lost in the far far better things and the to be or not to be's, you can be so, "afraid of merging on the freeway" that the things beyond the words get lost. Maybe that sounds pretentious or something I don't know.

ha, this is funny because i know what you mean. how can we expect anyone to praise us for our writings. and they might not even understand, which is frustrating within itself because we just poured out our soul into this work and it isnt appreciated. a starving author is not at the top of my list for future careers to persue, but i do want to continue to do it. what are your "dreams"?

San Francisco is amazing because you can walk basically everywhere. Its one of the only places you can go and try just about any food in the world. It's very diverse and cool because there are different sections like china town or little italy(north beach) where you can literally go from decked out chinese decorations and one block later be in little italy which is made up of lots of italian dining shops and cafes. Its definatly a must see. =]

The first time I performed on stage my mouth dried up like someone had put a ball of cotton in my mouth. The music started to play and I thought to myself:
You either have to go all out or run off the stage. The latter wasn't the option. Being nervous can either be productive, or destructive depending on how you use all that energy. I think you'll be fine, just practice, practice, practice.

I'm sorry I got lost in your accent. I think, and I must say I am no good critic at this, that you've got a good foundation to work on. There's real emotion in your voice. The pain is evident.

That sounds quite interesting. I will have to look around for it. When was it published?

Wisdom

Dec 29, 2007

So after about three days attempting to get my first video up it's finally working aaand there seems to be some sort of audio delay, but maybe that's just for me? I hope not considering it took so long. Being on camera is very scary.

And worse news about the wisdom teeth, I am now dosed up to my eyeballs in painkillers, because it is so ridiculously painful and I have to have them removed in a hospital. All of a sudden wikipedia's details on the complications of the extraction procedure are looking like some form of horror story. The nightmare just after christmas.

I am eighteen in seven days. Isn't that amazing? I just thought I'd share that with all of you because let's face it, it's a milestone of sorts isn't it? Everyone always goes on about being eighteen, I think because it means you can do anything, all the age restrictions slip away. Except for you poor guys in the U.S of course with your whole no drinking, no gambling, no watching porn on the internet until you're twenty one. It's pretty harsh I mean twenty one is quite old if you come to think about it. Here in merry old England they've just put the smoking age up to eighteen, but I remember being so excited about my sixteenth birthday because of all the things I could do. I was standing in the middle of town with my friends going on about how I could smoke if I wanted to and drink wine with a meal in a restaurant and deal in scrap metal. And have sex obviously. I think the age of consent is much older in the U.S as well? Actually I'm sure I read somewhere that in one or two states you can legally get married at an age before you can have sex?

I think aside from having none of the slight nerves that I might be asked for ID when I buy a drink (I'm usually served nowadays anyway), nothing will really change for me when I turn eighteen. The real reason I'm excited about it is my party, because having all the people you love in one small village hall with a crap disco has to be a milestone, no matter how old you are.

I hope people like the video, I know it's just a quick one but I wanted to say hello and share my love of odd foreign phrases and wikipedia. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in watching a video of me rehearsing some lines for my A level drama play I'm supposed to be performing in the coming months. It's really important for my overall grade and I would love some feedback, because the play is so abstract and can be interpreted so differently. It's called 4.48 psychosis and it's by Sarah Kane who is very interesting and I might tell you all about her sometime
