I have also had zombie dreams that were pretty intense. I am always a buffy-esque zombie hunter or something. I usually have a lot of fun in the dreams and am able to will myself back into them after I half wake up. I haven't yet figured out if these dreams are just from watching too many super hero and horror movies or something a little bigger. I have a lot of dreams about the farm my dad grew up on. I have been having those since I was very young. My most recent zombie dream took place there (essentially... there were differences of course) and I'm sure that has a deeper meaning, but it is definitely beyond me! Until then, I guess I will just enjoy when I get to be a super hero! Happy dreaming!

Yeah, I am -- born and raised by Filipino parents, and proud to be one. Why do you ask? :)

Yes, NBC canceled the show after one airing, because the ratings were so low. Sorry you don't get Bravo -- but just remember, the version we have here at quarterlife.com is the TRUE, unedited version. We had to take out a lot of time to fit these into TV time slots, and I think the online versions of the episodes are better. All you have to do is watch six of them in succession and it's the same as watching one on TV. And one other thing people don't realize: watching the show on your laptop is the same as watching a fifty-inch TV screen across the room. Try it -- hold your hands at each edge of your laptop and then look past them to see where they fall on the wall across the room: pretty big!

I think an Asian in this project would be rather unlikely. Don't get me wrong, I would DEFINITELY welcome an asian in this series because I think this show lacks diversity, and that will be their downfall unfortunately. Now if Mr.Herskovitz ever needs another black male actor, he knows where he can find me LOL! Regardless of the very bad joke, I'll continue to watch the show, but the thought of more diversity will never cease.

A new community for artists and creative minds - and a new Internet series from Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, the creative minds behind "My So-Called Life" and "Blood Diamond."

Dream Log #00017

June 26, 2008

A whole bunch of us were going crazy, trying to get enough present tissue...Giant sheets and sheets of them! I grabbed a good pile. Everyone in the room was getting to work, painting their own versions of Mary & Jesus. I didn't want anyone to copy or see mine, so I go up a long white winding staircase with no rails. At the very top is just a small platform where I begin to work on my tissue paper. Despite my efforts to get away from the collective, the paintings all turn out the same.

Analysis:

I hadn't had a dream in quite a while since I started taking that little blue pill... Haha, not Viagra! But the other one, to keep me from being all sad and having nightmares. I think it's good that I don't have or remember them anymore... Anyways, my dream wasn't negative but maybe a window to my other art... Drawing. I think my dream is telling me to go back to it because my routine is becoming insanely dull and artistically lacking. As for the religious reference, I'm not sure. Maybe, church is becoming my crazy person's institution, the only place where I find a little solace. Other times, I just feel like it's not worth it. Like the multitude of Madonna & Child reproductions, lose all meaning because it's being mass produced. Religion has become a mass production of rituals and customs that have no meaning to me anymore. I'm lost in a kind of process ritual and not the true spirituality of finding God. He just seems so far away while we keep our Bibles lodged in our bosoms.

[ view all ]My Unauthorized Biography

I like to draw and am an artist. I’ve been heavily involved in Ceramics since high school and I dream of owning my own kiln, pottery wheel, and one day maybe my own gallery. I’ve always loved drawing, painting, photography and even craftwork like crochet. I like to do pretty much anything that’s hand’s on. I find it’s the best way to learn.

I'm also big on singing and doing karaoke. I own a Magic Microphone and Singstar karaoke games on PS2. I also enjoy going to church and practicing my pipes because singing is one of my passions in life next to art. I have been singing and performing since I was a kid. All four of my sisters: Sophia, Martha, Esther and I are infamous for having our turn with Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All” but Martha is by far the most successful one of the four. I’ve accepted my mediocre skills but none-the-less love to sing.

I also love to write creatively. I'm always writing and imagining something to put in my web log about my real-life experiences, poetry, and short stories. I could see myself writing children's books and illustrating them too one day. I'm still working on the concept and beginnings of my great first novel.

I've guesstimated that I have a little under 1000 cousins total, and still growing strong. I probably spend time with maybe 5% of them from my dad’s side on account that most of them are in the Philippines and other parts of Southeast Asia. I also have my two parents Marlo and Bona, an energetic, stubborn and silly duo, and my last surviving grandparent Purita, the heart in the kitchen and of my family and extended family. Family is a very important basis to my life. I find it important to keep your roots and blood closer to how you live your life. So I'm proud of my culture and heritage as well. Perhaps, I do have my overly-Filipino days by being as corny as my dad with Filipino phonetic jokes. I believe it's part of my culture to be out right expressive about myself and at the same time silent when I have to be. The Filipino culture can be quite overwhelming: food, traditions, dances, costume or traditional wear, accents, personalities, etc... Its great to have such an accepting and diverse culture and family to identify with.

As a recent college grad from the University of North Texas, I hope to one day utilize my entire quarter life’s experience, talents, and ideas to inspire the world with my love for the arts, God, my family and my culture.
