I'm into... Photography Music Art
I'm working on... Archiving and completing old captures. Applying to NESOP. Selling, giving away, and throwing away stuff I've accumulated over years. Remaking myself - finding out if I have the moxie to be an artist, to start a new career, and to start over.
I started making pictures at Christmas 2003. By Thanksgiving 2004 I knew that that is my life.

Thanks for that, you were pretty well dead on! Often wondered what McLuhan himself would have thought of it when the article was published, hopefully his intrepretive skills were similar to your insightful readings.

Find this really interesting. Why I hear you ask, can't say exactly perhaps a locked down free spirit, the pose is sad and draws me to want to help let alone identify and share in his delemma wishing to participate in the light of nature so close but closed off, could go on but boring you isn't my aim.

I would like to thank you for what you had to say about my Self Portrait in Black. I've received extremely mixed reviews about it since I created it a few years ago. Creating a unique self portrait is difficult. The artist must find a way to position the ground he/she is working on, set up a light source and a mirror, and assume a pose that can be maintained while rendering the portrait. I am very fond of this one myself and producing it was quite straining physically. It is one of the few more "anti-classical" self portraits I have done that I consider successful. I'm glad that you respond to it.

It's a picture of my friend Aubrey; we're driving to Galveston to play an R and B gig on the seawall, and he's driving. A few years ago we got very ill from eating bad oysters at breakfast a couple of blocks from there; we had to play a festival and a night club gig that day. Now I have to wonder - if you know the backstory, does that diminish the image?

Good sense of motion. Love the grain.
