Things I love
1. Early in the morning, just after the sunrise, but before it’s actually light out. It’s that time when the air is crisp and the first birds start singing. I think it’s just magical; it makes me feel peaceful and serene.
2. Old cartoons. “Astro Boy” and the “Mysterious Cities of Gold”, both from the 80’s, totally rocked my world as a kid. I actually own the Astro Boy’s 80’s series. And Astro Boy’s theme song is my ringtone…And I named my dog Astro, cause he was a Yorkie with loads of personality… “…He is small, but only in size…”, the Astro Boy fans will get that one, if not Google it or something.
3. Doing good deeds. I mean intentionally doing good deeds, like thinking ahead of a little thing I should do that day to make someone smile, even for just a second. I figure if karma exists (which I think it might), it can’t hurt to be considerate to other human beings. Also I just want to thank people who do good deeds, cause that’s fantastic. The other day my car broke down and this super nice guy stopped and towed my car to the nearest gas station. He was a life-saver, cause I was pretty much overwhelmed and I was afraid to get out of my car, cause the traffic was insanely zooming past me… And I had just been sitting in my car crying for 15 minutes waiting for my dad to come pick me up… I know that’s pretty pathetic, but it’s the weirdest thing; usually in crisis I’m super good and calm and I take control, but if it’s just me I feel like I’m powerless and I don’t have control so I cry.
4. Molly Ringwald movies from the 80’s. If I have a bad day or I’m hungover (it happens sometimes), well I put on “Pretty in Pink”/”Sixteen Candles”/Breakfast Club” and it makes me smile. Those and also Bollywood movies. I LOVE Bollywood movies. I think they’re fabulous. Some Saturday mornings in college I had more trouble reading the subtitles than others. They’re my favorite hangover cures with a poutine (it’s a Canadian thing, fries, gravy and cheese. Mmmm¦

.
5. Good books, especially chick-lit. I love the more serious books, but I’m in university so I don’t have a lot of free “brain” time, so to decompress I like reading chick-lit. It’s easy to read, funny and it makes me feel like I’m 16 again.
6. Eggnog. So I know it’s pretty much the equivalent of drinking butter, but whenever it gets close enough to Christmas and coffee shops start having eggnog lattes. I just get really happy and excited, that always makes my day.
7. Good days. Some days I just wake up in a super good mood, and I look in the mirror and I think “I look good today!”, those are really good days. It’s not everyday, I mean I have my fat/ugly/old days every once in a while like everyone else. But I guess if I didn’t have the bad days I couldn’t appreciate just how fantastic the good days are.
8. Fresh shrimps. When I was little, in the summers, we use to go to this little town and right across from the wharf there was a fishery and we would buy a huge bag of fresh shrimps with ritz crackers and we would go sit on the wharf and eat the whole bag of shrimps, even though we usually ran out of crackers halfway.
I am now in a good mood. I hope you enjoyed my list and let me know about things that you like.
Books
,The Alchemist - Paolo Coehlo
The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
1984 - George Orwell
The Old Man and the Sea - Hemingway
and chick-lit... I hate to admit it,but I love it. It's kinda like reading the sunday cartoons for hours,it doesn't take up a lot of brain but it's really entertaining.,
Art
,My favorite is the Kiss by Klimt, but I love Salvador Dahli,Van Gogh,Monet and Degas. It's weird cause I haven't really had time to look into art lately,so I'm not keeping up with any newer artists.,
