I began my creative journey dating back to the age of eight by creating a book for my mother. I cut up an old pair of my favorite boots to use as the cover. As she looked through it, she cried tears of joy. From that point forward, I vowed to challenge myself with every gift I gave her. I wanted to see those tears of joy every time I gifted her. My mother has been my biggest inspiration in following my dreams and my heart.
Throughout my artistic voyage, from poetry, to painting, to creative expressions, I've found that capturing life's glorious moments forever is the most breathtaking for me. If you only take a minute to literally, 'Stop to smell the flowers,' you can find so much beauty in every vision that your eyes absorb. From a rusty old chain to a run down old trailer . . . it's all striking in its own right. I find that preserving those moments gives me a renewed outlook on everyday life. And so . . . I shoot!
A new community for artists and creative minds - and a new
Internet series from Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, the creative minds behind "My So-Called Life" and "Blood Diamond."
Everyone must keep their head held high
in order to face the world
But every now and again, a person must lower his head
in order not to trip and fall upon his face . . .
