A night out

Last night I went out for a friends birthday party in a pub/club. I am getting old. It was just annoying, the music was too loud I had to shout in everyones ear. I am wondering what is the point of going to those kind of places? I had some really interesting conversations with people...well perhaps the point is that...they wouldn't be so 'private' if the music wasn't so loud! I guess it depends what people want from a night out, I go out usually to chat and connect to people, I guess if you want to go out to dance then a club is good.

One conversation was with an old friend who admitted to me that she really likes this really good friend of hers but is scared to bring it up with him in case she will lose the friendship. I also think it is much more scarier to start a relationship with a good friend. You're in a much more vulnerable position. I told her to go for it. I know that he really likes her... and they're both doing the whole on line dating thing and yet here is someone in their 'real' life, right next to them literally (they live together), they both like each other and yet they're not doing anything about it!...aahh...it reminded me of a situation that might be on QL!
