Call me crazy, but my favorite part of an oreo is the cookie, not the cream.

Interests

Music

,I play oboe semi-seriously,more for fun than anything else. I love going to (and occasionally performing in) concerts on campus, and I'm especially fond of chamber music. On the other end of the spectrum I like punk/alternative/indie rock, the futureheads, red hot chili peppers, arcade fire, kimya dawson, the white stripes,to name a few. And life wouldn't be the same without The Beatles.,

Movies

,I like anything surprising, and anything that leaves a lasting impression. Unfortunately (or fortunately,I'm not sure which)there is no telling which movies will have this effect,so it means I try to see as many movies as possible. I also love Pixar, because after a few classes trying my hand at digital rendering I have the utmost respect for what they do. And they are just good movies :P,

Books

,Again, anything surprising. Palahniuk is great at that. I love Douglas Adams' style and humor. I'm working my way through the works of Oscar Wilde,Harry Potter is my guilty pleasure and I think The Giver is my favorite book of all time.,

Travel

,I want to go everywhere. I want to see everything. I've traveled around the states, been to Japan, and dotted the Caribbean. I long to see Europe. Some day.,

The cream is a big fat hunk of hydrogenated oil and non-food. It's not my favorite part either.

a friend of mine is using this as one of his precedents for his thesis - it seems like a very interesting building...nice presentation!

great job with the video!! especially the part around the theater, that was great! your facades could use a little more development, maybe that'll be something you can think about for the next project. the video is really well done, although it would be nice to hear some music in there too, it can really add a lot to the presentation. (unless you were talking during the video)... well GREAT job, congrats on being done with it!!!

Your photography is interesting because it is so un-architectural - mostly plants and skies and things, and not a right angle in sight. Anyway, this is a handsome image, and though you wouldn't call it "architectural", it does have a lovely composition. Actually the subject is really a space, the space and relationship between the two trees, so perhaps there is some architecture here after all.

hey, you should go to mikeybee's page, if you haven't met him already. he started the thread in the music forum - "is there room for new classical music?"

"bugler's holiday"? for oboes? that is a particular kind of demented that i'm just not sure how to respond to... umm... go for it?

we played that in high school with the entire trumpet section playing the three solo parts. it was a mess...

Jun 02, 2008

I posted some photos from Christmas that I uncovered recently. I posted them now because for me Christmas is happy, and everyone could use a little happy.
