The imagery is really great however, at this point its hard to have much opinion because its basically just exposition right now and it isn't going anywhere yet. I would love to edit this, you have a great writing style but there are some places where you could say exactly the same thing with a few less words which may or may not be your style but its something that I noticed. In general I love your prose style and I love the fantastic world you're starting to create, I'm interested to see ...
Have you ever thought of trying poetry, I never considered myself a poet (and still don't really), but I find that when I just want to write, my thoughts always come out so much easier in poem form for some reason. just a suggestion since I'm pretty sure I sit there all the time with the same problem you seem to be having. when i just write and don't worry about what it's going to be or if anyone is going to get it, thats when I seem to write the best.
What a stunning world you have created. Writing is very visual. As a reader, I enjoy how you let me discover what this world and its creatures are all about.
This is very well written, nice work!
Although it seems small, I especially enjoyed, "...it was all just blue. Or blue green. Or green blue. She never could decide."
It was just one of several nice little details that made the story entertaining and the characters believable.
I also love the description of Haidee's psyche. Well done!
I'm interested in what brought on Caley's fall from grace. Great imagery all around, and as always, your adept control over the English language is impressive, to say the least.
wow, not what i expected. i loved the imagery surrounding the spider and the web building. it was beautiful and surprising and sad.
