You.should.go.
Read up about their culture and history, talk to that guy about what to expect and make this freakin documentary.
That's what I suggest. That's what I would do. Go. Do it.
Oh, and know the exchange rate BEFORE you depart. I made that mistake once.
Haha! It took me a while to load this video (fucking slow internet connection, welcome to Malaysia!) but I guess it's worth it. The acting is bad, the story line is kinda pointless but it's funny nonetheless.
hey so nice meeting you by the way. thank you for the request. about your latest video. wow. afghanistan... it does sound like an amazing opportunity tho, agreeing with heather. you do seem tho as if you pretty much already made up your mind. christmas and new years happens every year. this opportunity.. seems like not an every year opportunity. so touche heather...
Sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to me. I trust that the person who's coordinating this knows what he's doing in terms of taking precautions. So ... bottom line ... is the experience you'll gain worth the risk? Only you can answer that, of course, but listening to you, it seems like you'd regret missing out on this chance. I know this all sounds obvious and predictable, but hey ... that's all I've got right now. =)
If I were wearing your shoes, I would go for it. I have confidence that you will survive, and you'll show the world what you yourself have experienced. But hey, lose a limb and you can get good parking anywhere. That's a bitch these days.....
I was fortunate to quit smoking, but i have discovered the best way to do it. start with 10 cigarettes a day, then take one out each day till your down to one. It's all will power from there. At least this way, you won't be sucking on the teat as hard.
I have no experience with Afghanistan, all I can tell you is that their poverty index is one of the worst in the world. So it will def be an eye opener. Don't worry about getting blown up, hey you could cross the street tomorrow and get hit by a car...experiences come with risks, its life
uhh, to my comment below..
sorry if i was a bit, odd? hah, my apologies.
things happen, what are ya gonna do. i think that may be my last drunk vlog to you for a bit? :)
one suggestion... Keep the beard! I'm sure you know the saying, "when in Rome..." I'm sure you know the rest. Quick question. Was it easy to get the visa for your trip?
