Thanks so much for your reply. I will bring this to Marshall's attention. It's nice to hear casting directors sensitivity to actors. I have had the privilege to work as an actor since 1991 (sag) and also worked in casting on several projects. When actors come in "just trying to book a gig", they miss out on so much. I've been guilty of that. But no more. I think to myself NOW, "they invited you, have a good time"

We are all for de-mystifying the casting process but since we don't have actors sign releases when they audition we couldn't really make their tapes available. At least at this point. That might be something to raise with Marshall in terms of the future. In some ways it does seem hard to add one more element for the actors who are just trying to book a gig - even though there may be a greater good. Actors already feel pretty vulnerable in an audition....

by any chance did the producers keep the casting sessions on VIDEO? that would be a great Christmas gift to Quarterlife audience. The casting process is a mystery to some, but in an effort to decode it, a glimpse into the casting of Quarterlife would be revealing. (just sayin)
