Interests

Favorite Movie Ever

,Breakfast at Tiffany's...I love everything about the movie. I love the subtle sex appeal of Audrey Hepburn's character. How she is shown as classy and sophisticated even though her profession is anything but. I love how she makes all of lifes issues seem so trivial. How she lives her life day by day never knowing what will happen next. I love the music. I love the simplicity of the love story.,

Other Great Movies

,Brick - I love the throwback to the old film noirs and that the entire movie's budget was less then most modern day actors salaries. Yet the movie is brilliant and has a magnificent cast.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - I love how it plays on Fate and that you are meant to meet certain people and they are supposed to be apart of your life whether you like it or not.

Donnie Darko - I love it's entire take on time travel and how one person's choices and actions can change the,

TV Shows

,Veronica Mars hands down my favorite show of all time. It is a shame that it was on the crappy CW who didn't realize the shows potential and never gave it a fighting chance.

Heroes,Lost,The Office,Pushing Daisies,Flight of the Conchords,Psych,Chuck,Reaper,Buffy the Vampire Slayer,Weeds,Quarterlife,& The Simpsons.,

Books

,Harry Potter - I think J.K. Rowling is a modern day literary genius. I know many people will disagree but I am allowed my own opinion.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy,- Because Tolkien is one of the greatest literary minds ever. He invented new languages for God's sake.

The Bell Jar,A Clockwork Orange,The Time Traveler's Wife,I Am Legend,Most of Shakespeare and Charles Dickens...especially A Tale of Two Cities.,

So the question is. . .did you have fun at the masquerade party? If so, what does that say about life? One of the purposes of a masquerade is to allow someone to be someone else for a time. Who were you masquerading as? Did you like your new or your old self better? Sorry for all the questions, but you bring up some interesting points.

Friendships

May 12, 2008

I have/had this whole group of friends from high school that I really have nothing in common with now. We drifted apart and I want nothing to do with them anymore and they want nothing to do with me, yet we still keep pretending we have an interest in each others lives. If we really had an interest wouldnt we be talking all the time? We live in the same city for God's sake but i have no desire to pick up the phone and obviously neither do they.

Now one of them is getting married and I honestly do not want to go to the wedding and I want to check no when i receive the invitation. The thing is it will cause all of this drama. This ridiculous unnecessary drama because when it comes down to it we really are no longer friends. And they probably will be much happier without me there. Yet when i check the "i will not be attending" box it will set off this entire sequence of events that i just do not feel like dealing with. Can't it just be left at that? Is it necessary for me to justify my "i will not be attending" 'x'?

I am independent yet insecure. I have my own opinion on almost everything yet love to hear other people's points of view. I laugh often when I shouldn't and sometimes cry when I am happy. I still don't know who I want to be when I grow up and most likely never will.
