I know exactly what you're talking about. I refer to them as robots. In my school, they litterly follow each other around all day. You could talk to one of them and then turn to another one and start talking to them and it would feel no different. They're all the same. What exactly are they trying to prove? I'm all for individuality.

My goal was not to change your mind it was to broaden your knowledge on the subject. You are very young to be setting down your world-view so concretely.

I always feel like nothing a write about could possibly be important to anyone else but me...but that in itself is important. Like you said, it's healthy to communicate with your subconscious because it allows your to examine your opinions and form better ones. It's mature. It's narcissistic, but evolved. I really appreciate your opinions on things. Thanks! :)

You are very smart for your age. But, on the whole abortion thing.. meh. I personally am completely against abortion in my life, but as for other people, I guess I would be pro-choice. I just have higher standards for myself and I think it's rather unfortunate that many people don't. I find being responsible and using protection has a vastly better outcome. But I agree with you that the government should keep legal, at least for extreme cases. Just keep in mind that about 80% of abortions are...

Hey - youre pretty young but you've got the same mind I do. Its not up to everyone else to decide what we do! And, I don't think you're selfish for being pro-choice. I probably wouldn't have an abortion myself, but its nobody else's decision but mine! I enjoy your posts, way to be smart! :)

here is a site detailing the many forms of abortion. http://www.lifesitenews.com/abortiontypes/ after this i will not argue with you about it. Life is life anything I say will not change your mind. You are a very smart girl but logic and reason are not the end all and be all.

It is true that parents make decisions for their children all the time but if that parent suddenly decided to murder their child saying it was for their own good then they would be charged for murder.

i can tell you more if you want, i am not a stranger of philosophy, even if heidegger is not my favorite. p.s the Da-Sein(being here/there) is the human being, not an abstract concept of his philosophy.

ok.being and time, by Martin Heidegger. it is really a hard book to read an not being in college. but this says a lot. i will try to explain, in very short terms the idea of this book. in the first place, you really must read ancient greek philosophy to understand. to problem is that we have forgotten the essential question about the Being(try to read about Parmenide-the One and Mulptiple dillema, Plato-the dialogues and Aristotle-metaphysics).but he is often regarded not as a phenomenologi...

i like this. It is about the feeling I am feeling reading what you felt. seems to me as an analogy for the caress, always a ”not yet”, unlinked to any form of time(We've had a hundred days like this; We'll do the same thing tomorrow and the day after that;we can still have a hundred more of those days)in wich temporal formes are just here to explain just the way we live.Naive an gentle. That is what I think.:)

I have to say first that I am pro-life. here are some points to think about. women who have abortions most of the time have to be treated for psychological trauma. Abortion is not a quick fix. You state that it is a woman's right but technically that baby or the more politically correct term fetus has its own separate DNA what about its choice as a human being.

You have no grounds or facts to go on.. Saying one way or another they will have a sucky life.. Thats just your opinion, and your belief. The truth is there are many great people who are not able to have children themselves due to damaged reproductive organs that would treat an adopted child with probably more love and care then the actual mother would've. I'm sure when the child is older it will wonder why the mother did it, or who the real mother was... and then it would be time to explain ...
