If you know you're going to have to stop, just take your foot off the gas and coast to said stop. Might piss off the people behind you, but you're not going to get anywhere sooner (especially if it's a red light) either way, so eh. Saves a bit of gas, at least.

A very bright idea to please the mind betwixt these ears. Good show!!!

Correction...GOOD POST!

MEOutLoud: May 09, 2008 - 10:41 AM PST Make sure your tire pressure is on target for the climate and your car, too much or too little can make you have poor gas mileage.

Franchise: May 09, 2008 - 07:32 AM PST Any ideas? Besides saving flatulence in a glass jar :P LOL!

I would like to try this if I can muster up the patience. If I am using the freeway, I'll try to leave an hour early for my destination so that I can drive on the second lane (the second slowest lane) at 69 mph. That would save lots of gas and you won't hinder traffic. When using roads, adhere to the speed limit to the tee never driving above the limit. Leaving earlier for your destination will help you to not step on the gas and waste that addictive substance.
