hahahah yes!

Hah. I had a Bonethugs enthusiast living in my building, he was hysterical; good kid, very "Malibu's Most Wanted" (that was a movie right?). So through my communications with him, I learned all about BTNH, "the crossroads, and the "first of tha month."

crimsonladybug: May 12, 2008 - 08:40 PM PST My most recent "stuck on" has been Sondre Lerche. He just makes me smile, especially To Be Surprised.

And 30 Seconds to Mars....now how's that for a strange combination?

Start wearing purple.

I forgot all about that band! I used to manage a record store and that video for Start Wearing Purple was on our rotation for a good six months. we hated it so much we loved it!

dav: March 09, 2008 - 02:55 PM PST Latley its been a lot of Sevendust and nonpoint for me. Oh, and I had to bring Tool's Aenima back into the rotation.

As for some newer bands, I like Silversun Pickups and the new Spoon cd (Don't you evah is such and awesome song). I got that Cold War Kids cd too, but I didn't really get into it.

iurobbie: March 05, 2008 - 03:38 AM PST My current kick is a rotation of Metric and The Cold War Kids

i love it, and it doesn't hurt that the CWKs are from Fullerton. A little hometown connection there.

Also I've never heard of Chuck Ragan before, but I just looked him up on the youtube. Would I be correct in saying that he is a mature, folkier, singular version of Against Me?

I do hear a bit of Against Me in his rhythm. A bit of Bad Religion in his lyrics and I like the Neil Young thing he's got going on with the harmonica.

Back to the topic at hand.

I can always listen to Lucero.
Always

I like them, but somebody needs to cheer those boys up. Listen to them when there's too much rain and I want to jump off a cliff. On a related note, I'm a moderately proud Hendrix College alumnus, which is where Ben Nichols went to school, I believe - so they came through Conway and Little Rock pretty regular-like.

Note: this makes me cool.
Ben is not a sad dude.
Didn't really think of it much, some of the albums are I suppose. I think it's the overall tone and not jusut the lyrics, hm

I just love his voice, I think I call him like once a week just to hear it in it's natural nonsinging state
