"Teeth or Tongue" by Becca_Johnson for next week's top 5!

i know mattfuller got there first, spying and promoting this great talent, but i wanted to second his original nomination.

Week 5 of the Top 5...here we go...

1. “Heart Chakra Song” - by vive2groove

2. “Too Soon” - by milkbagbrother

3. “West Side Feeling” - by nosifer

4. “Turks & Caicos” - by kwam

5. “Sound of the Night” - by elg0nz

A special note about this week's top artist: Tanya and I went to a different colleges, but her group did a number of shows at my school in the mid-90's. I have a couple of cassette tapes of those shows and I've listened to them over and over. I bought their CD's too, and I consider them some of my most prized possessions. Her old group was and still is a MAJOR influence in my music, and I'm thrilled to have been able to reconnect with her through qL after 10 years. And after listening to her recent work, it was well worth the wait!

You know the drill: check 'em out, let us know what you think, and let me know who's in YOUR Top 5!

hehe, "milkbagbrother," teehee!

Ok, so far I know that Joniah is touring California right now and Ian has been very active in Georgia. Do any other Top 5 artists (past or present) have upcoming shows we should know about?

Don't have the funds to tour, but I've played acoustic sets with my buddy's band Lungbutter at a bar in Pomona. Haven't had a live show in a while though. Next time they ask me to play though I'll let you guys (whoever is in the Pomona or local LA area) know about it. BTW, I also got a thread (consider us even on the hijacking threads Dex :P lol) called Share Your Show. If anyone has footage or a live performance they'd like to share, be it comedy, poetry reading, concert, karaoke night, please stop by and share your show!

For Week 2, we've got 5 new artists, and they are definitely on top of their game. Check it out:

1. Easy Easy - Nonsenze

2. Montgomery GreenMatt Fuller

3. FormulaJustina (from the Last One Standing EP)

4. Chase AOStreetSydePoet (mastering)

5. EliteDav (Deftones cover)

Special mention goes out to Dav, because even though he did a cover, this recording is completely badass.
