About me

A little about myself...

Well, I don't talk about myself. I'd rather take the focus off of me and focus on others. I don't like being the center of attention. I am not a fan of confrontation and I always think of the right thing to say ten minutes after I needed to say it.

Interests

Friends

,I am completely blessed with the people in my life that I call my friends. It's a rare thing to have people love you and care about you when they don't have. Four years ago,I could never imagine that my life would be this way,in terms of friends. They are a part of my life that I do not take for granted.,

New York City

,My most favorite place that I have ever been to. New York is a place where I can just be. New York is the place where I feel the most comfortable with myself and who I am. When I am there,I don't even notice the noise and the craziness that is all around all the time.,

Photography

,I am no professional. I have a digital camera, definately nothing fancy. That not so fancy camera has taken some beautiful shots.,

Opinions

,I have very strong opinions and I sometimes I really need to not express some of them around people that I don't know.,

Thoughts...

Mar 10, 2008

I'm new to the whole idea of blogging. I mean, do people even read these things? If they do, why? What is the fascination with the minds of other people, complete strangers? What could I possibly have to say that others would find at all interesting and not at all pathetic? But I shouldn't be so surprised that strangers are interested in the lives of other strangers.

I am extremely opinionated. I by no means consider myself perfect, or even close to it. I am a great wonder of imperfections but I still hold very strong opinions about the most random things. I will never understand why some people have the desire to pierce the ears of their 3 week old baby. I don't like it when developers try to make a strip mall sound quaint and rustic by adding an "e" to the end of some words (like "olde, towne, shoppe, etc.) Lately, I have noticed that fast food hamburger chains are jumping on the fried fish sandwich wagon. A double filet o fish will NEVER sound appetizing to me, I don't care how hungry or hungover I am! I think that all Creed songs sound the same. What is the fascination with all of those reality shows that focus on dancing? I know that there was a writers strike and networks were desperate for anything new to put on the television, but isn't there some kind of line somewhere? The show "A Moment of Truth" has to be ranked with "Cheaters" on the vulgar scale. Yet, they are raking in the ratings. I use to love "The Real World" back in the days where people were not trying to screw everything that walked by the insanely huge house they had to live in. Why do 21 year olds have the need to let everyone within shouting distance know that they "Are SOOOOOO drunk?" I guess this isn't limited to 21 year olds. I think it is a safe assumption that anyone who yelps that phrase is between the ages of 16 and 22. Once you get to a certain age, and it varies, you realize that when you get SOOOOO drunk, you don't need to let everyone know about, you just need to go home and pass out. I'm all for going green and helping the environment and I take steps in my own personal life to be better at that, but I think that the whole carbon credit thing is a bunch of crap. I compare it to buying some kind of insurance so if you cheat on your wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend, you get a free pass. If you cheat on someone, do you think they're going to let that slide because you bought some relationship credit? I find it sad and pathetic that the father of Britnay Spears is getting paid $2500 a week to look after her while she is doing whatever she is going. You are a parent. Take care of your child because they are your child, not because you are getting paid to do so. I'm sick of famous people checking into hospitals for "exhaustion" . Go home to your $15 million mansion with security gates and bodyguards, turn off your Blackberry, and go to SLEEP.

I don't really have a point about all of this, it's just random stuff that bugs me.
