About me

I'm a young architectural designer in Baltimore city, working for Marks, Thomas Architects. I work on a lot of affordable housing projects as well as senior housing, multi-family residential, schools, etc. My passion in architecture lies in sustainable "green" building and historic preservation. On the side, I enjoy sketching, painting, and am very involved in the theatre, stage managing for the Performance Workshop Theatre in Baltimore. I also enjoy traveling, film, photography, sailing, playing kickball, and volunteering in the community.

I adore Sant' Ivo della Sapienza, but only got to see it from the courtyard - a splendid sight, to be sure, but I hope to get there again one day to stand in that magical space.

Marti studied architecture at UMCP, during which time she became mole-like because of all of the time spent holed up in studio. When she ventured home in the wee hours, she was given to walking into walls and wearing her shirt inside out. She has since returned to a human-like state! Yay!
