And there goes 3 o'clock
the silence speaks to me again
reminding me of you
yet the irony is stupid
i need you closer but then
i never want you near
it's suffice to say i'm cracking up
what did you expect?
you know i'm not a cool guy
and i am no rich kid
but it doesn't justify the way
we ignore each other like we do
for we are only people
so treat me like i'm alive
don't hate me because i love you
don't be too cruel just because i do the things
that noone else you think would do
...that no one eats their pride for you
..and stays put after all the shame you put me through
and there goes 4 o'clock
an hour wasted contemplating
i'm wishing for you to come around
but i'm grateful that you are never here
and that's the irony of it all.
