Take Off Your Clothes

Take off your clothes as I have mine.
Are we Adam? Are we Eve?
Closer now let us entwine, like this, it’s harder to deceive.

Brush my shoulder with your hair
Breathe our heavy breath and air
Between us will become a veil from which the world will turn.

Take off your clothes as I have mine.
Where are we now in human time?

Are we primitive and coarse?
Are we now some higher force?
How much less than love is this?
How much more?
How much a kiss?

Hours or minutes joined as one
Unique to us, but ‘neath the sun
How common now a thing we are.

For every pair of lovers one new star.

I want to hear this read aloud by you, the author; I feel as though there's a lot more emotion in it, and back story, that can only be conveyed verbally and not just merely as words on a screen.
