Maybe you're just getting past fucking up,

Your slips and falls got you this far,

opened the door for many moreto come.

What could have beens, just won't be,

despite all the best planning.

Strange what some days wake me up to face,

bouncing from place to place while struggling to climb from bed.

It seems fast forward 10 steps is to find yourself 10 deep,

and 10 minutes finds your mind wandered far from it's place.

Don't abandon your hope,

but don't rely on the sea of noise to guide you back.

Some call them voices, but you just hear static from grandstand speakers asking you to lie down and forget.

But the fall from the high is too hard, too disheartening.

You tried this before and woke to a car crash drawing your attention while you crawl from your own wreckage.

Still, you know you've let yourself get caught up in this tangled web many times before.

You would pawn it off as someone else's problem because why would someone choose to makes themselves feel this way? It's a shame there's no one else to pawn it off on.

That's a good question to study because who would know better?

You could always push this aside too, but it's too damned transparent to play those blame games anymore.

Chained to the town square in the dead of winter, pouring your sad excuse for a heart out to anyone that passes.

It's no wonder you find yourself back here time and time again.

Trying to solve problems you can't even comprehend or care to try to.

Thank you so much! That is so sweet. Usually when I write things the tune and words come at the same time. It's just a matter of getting the music on paper. But I'm working on it. I really like this that you wrote! Do you ever put your stuff to music? This kind of reminds me of a Beck song or something.
