So, who am I?

Every time you sign up for a networking site like this, they always give you the option to talk about yourself. I'm not sure why exactly. I guess its a bit of an ego-boost for some people to share every thing about them.

Ah, hell, I deserve a bit of an ego boost, eh?

So, my fake-name I sign my art with is Pop The Sky. Yes, I know that would make my fake middle name is The, much like a certain bear thats obsessed with fires. How morbid. Any way, my real name is Steven Pope. I'm one of the shortest kids in my high-school (which I'm graduating from this year, thank you sweet Moses) and I hate a lot of people. But I like more people than I hate...Does that make sense? Whatever, this a blog, so odds are I'll just write this and forget it.

I live in a small community out side of Sacramento. Its not a hick town nor is it any where worth writing about. I don't hate it like most teenagers in the community do, but I'm not a fan. Its quiet and kind of boring. Every one is shit-bonkers for the football team. My older brother was part of it, and as such I lost most of my Summer Vacation (for several years, no less!) to the sport. This might explain my deep-seeded hatred of it. Maybe.

I like art. Fuck, I love art. Well, visual stuff. As much as I enjoy music (I'm in the school's choir) I've always loved painting and sculpting more than classical music. Oh, and I hate most rap. I mean, some of it I love, but most of it is just garbage. Ever hear that song "Soulja Boy"? That song makes me want to hit my grandmother. At least with Visual Art I can almost always find some thing redeemable about it.

I'm not that popular at school. Buuut I'm not the weirdo with no friends, either. Guess in this area I'm pretty damn normal. I tend to stand out for the simple fact that I'm usually one of the more active students in class, save for Math and Science. I'm terrible at that crap.

What else...Well, I guess my biggest problem is that I feel more at home typing in front of a computer screen than actually talking. Maybe its because I actually have some thing visible to look at? I mean, I AIM chat and stuff all the time...But I freaking hate, HATE talking on the damn phone!

My art stuff is pretty standard: I'm really big into ceramics at the moment and I want to major in Animation when I go off the college. Even though I have a portfolio put together, I still need to find a way to FREAKING UPLOAD MY CAMERA ONTO MY COMPUTER!!! It gets terribly annoying

Sooo thats pretty much me. Well I mean, not every thing. I think its impossible to express every thing about you in one blog or essay or any thing. Buuut its good enough.

So, who am I?

I agree with the Soulja Boy thing. I don't know how certain "songs" become so popular you wish you were wiped off the face of the earth so you don't have to deal with them. But like most songs like it, it has it's phase then all of a sudden you never hear about it again.
I'm into songs that stick around for years, not just a month or to. I still love The Beatles, and The Doors for this reason. And of course, I hate all rap, and I'd argue that rap isn't really music because it has no melody and you can't hum it, it's just speaking in rhythm on top of a bunch of noise. But that would piss a lot of people off, so that stays here...
