About me

I am a young artistic activist living in Iowa. I'm the leader of the Gay-Straight alliance at my highscool. I'm really into human rights activism (ALOT). I'm not all that into music though,I really could care less about it. I dont know why, I think I'm more at peace when I can't hear. I like to do alot of duct tape art and visual journaling. I also write many blogs.

Stormy Your Portfolio is featured on the home page of Quarterlife! That's so cool! I never really be featured on any of the portfolio features when there's probably 20+ of them. Probably because I care more about music than art and you care more about activism and art than music. I think they love that.

Stormy I understand why you might think that I thought that Kelly was a lesbian from my blog but only because I got the info about Kelly from you I don't remember why we were talking about it but we were. I know that on the 7th blog that I said that you and most people around me were "becoming into" lesbians only reason why I said becoming and not any other way is because it seeems like the people I hung out with like you were changing when they realized, embraced, or etc. that they were a le...

So here I am,kicking off my QL account with most of my Recent artwork and a brand new blog. What excitement!I will be writing quite a bit of blogs soon here. Yes, the sapphist loves to rant.

Since many people may not know where the word "sapphist" comes from, I shall enlighten you!

Until the early twentieth century lesbian was interchangeable with Sapphist. The earliest known written references to same-sex love between women are attributed to Sappho (the eponym of sapphism), who lived on the island of Lesbos in ancient Greece from about 625 to 570 BCE and wrote poems which apparently expressed her sexual attraction to other females. Modern scholarship has suggested a parallel between ancient Greek pederasty and the friendships Sappho formed with her students. Lesbian relationships were also common among the Lacedaemonians of ancient Sparta. Plutarch wrote "love was so esteemed among them that girls also became the erotic objects of noble women."
