About transhumanism, I feel technology is starting to get new roles in our society, I have heard once or twice that religion "isn't the search for a god, but instead means for the man to achieve transcendence". So when technology starts making us transhuman, isn't technology itself becoming a religion? It promises us health, justice, equality, peace. But maybe thats an error, religion promised us the same thing and failed, why then should we trust tech so blindly?

So weird you like kurzweil so much when you don't like change so much, remember the Law of Accelerating Returns? The switch from vhs to dvd took at least 10 years, now we have got hd-dvd and blueray and all those "newüberdvd¨ stuff and it hasn't been 10 years yet.

So, have you heard the cd Spiritual Machines by Our lady peace? its inspired by that book, its great.

Yup, when I think of good lyrics. I think Thrice. All of their songs have this deeper meaning to them. Their very poetic...and it always feels good to sing along with them.

Thrice is amazing! Saw them in November, and they stole the show, and thats coming from a HUGE Brand New fan. I met Dustin, lead singer of Thrice, and got my ticket signed and a hug and a picture of course. He was so nice. Thrice is very well known in my neck of the woods. Its weird I keep hearing, "Its Cool That You Know Who They Are!" lol...I keep thinking..."Well Of Course I Know Who They Are." LoL.

so it's like this...

Feb 17, 2008

I finally got an ipod. So this year when I go to the beach, I don't have to listen to my uncle make fun of me. Last year 5 of my cousins had ipods and me being the old head of the bunch had a discman. Changing cds on a beach is certainly a bitch. All that sand was threatening the lives of my discs. It's just hard for me to adjust to new things. I really had a hard time switching to DVDS too. Blockbuster literally stopped carrying VHS, which forced me to buy a DVD player. I guess I don't like change.
