Working more than sleeping? Technically if you work a 9-5 day you're at work just as much as you're supposed to sleep. And then if you happen to work on your own over nights and weekends, which would take your sleep down to 4-6 hours a night, then your sleep is about 1/2 of your work, which leads to exhaustion all the time and then you have no idea what's going on, until you can't wake up with your alarm clock anymore because you're so tired and you end up dropping it on the floor and breaking it, leaving with you with no way to wake up the next morning, which wouldn't be such a problem, but you need to go to the 9-5 job 'cause you need the paycheck so you can continue to do pro-bono and paid work on nights and weekends until you gather up enough experience to take it full time, at which point you'd (hopefully) be able to set your own hours, but until you get to that point you're napping in your car during your half-hour lunch break because a cup of coffee just doesn't cut it anymore. (I could go on... :D)

It's a nice elegy of sorts. I try never to assume a poem is autobiographical, but if so, I'd say you gained some hard-won wisdom and wrote a poem about something that is difficult to get out. And being at one time a rightful recipient of a poem like this, I appreciate the sentiment.

You know those comedy routines where someone tries to get on a horse or donkey or some animal and it keeps shrugging the person off, eventually kicking the person in the mouth? Yeah, that's the relationship the "casual dating horse" and I have. What's the second job? And congrats on not seeing vomit boy, a day without vomit is a good day in my book!

Hey you back! I was thinkin' the other day that perhaps I dropped the ball here? I dunno. Anyway, life is crazy by definition and I realized the moment that I catch up to life I just might keel over 'cause I'd have no purpose then, haha. Trip to LA was good, met a bunch of ql-ers which was nice. How's things by you? You finish that Frappuccino or whatever it is you're drinkin' there?

Having just read you latest post on talking to ones self and wither or not your crazy I find this picture rather fighting for some of the thoughts I didn't express in my comment to that... the idea of a split personality. I guess that's why I like this picture. It reminds me of the different sides that are in each one of us. I'm assuming that's a stove lighter... or at least it looks it in your left hand. That a long with your different faces makes me think of violence, anger, innocence and peace. But then again that's just me and I'm not exactly normal. Oh one last one... I love the off center but focused eye... it kind of draws you in.
