Beautiful Wounded BrideSep 27, 2008 - 13:46 PM PST My body is yours lover My soft skin yours to touch Mine eyes look only on your form My lips part for yours But if you do not trust me dearest Do what you must to settle your fears: Remove my tongue from my mouth So that I may not talk to another Pluck out my eyes from my head My gaze shall linger nowhere else Cut off my hands and my feet Creating withered limbs So that I may not betray you I would rather die than cause you pain : I will not stray But now there is no way for us to speak dear And I shall never look on your face My caress with not know yours in return Yet I am faithful and steadfast to you Everything I am remains yours Though I am weak here I hunger and thirst for your love But I cannot find it I tire from this fast Where have you gone? I have not heard your voice for a time Must I fend for myself? Must I search for other forms of substance? Hollow out my chest Of my heart So that I will not betray myself My love seeks so willingly Best you be here to guide it So that my aching body will remember you Speak to me love It is the only thing that keeps me sane But you cast me from your sight Throwing my body on hot coals What have I done to upset you so? Be you not glad to have the prize? To have the woman others desire? I am yours alone Why do you treat me so? My vacant chest longs to be filled But you no longer pour yourself into me Must I seek for something else? Shall I commit the crime you are punishing me for? Just to sate the emptiness? I am yours lover Body and Soul Know this And come back to your wounded bride |
