Bell book and candle
Chapeter1 : the beginning
“Get out of here, the queen will kill you.”
“I'm not leaving without you.”
“Leave!, or I won’t forgive you if you die.”
“That’s good because I don’t intend to, I’m going with you whether you like it or not.” Yuma glares at her then turns around and walks into the castle, a vampire jumps in front of her and she swings her arm and slits his throat, Ria starts to follow.
scene - in the castle hallway and it some what dark, it is lighten by torches on the wall.
“Yuma?, Yuma? please talk to me.” As Yuma walks she keeps Ria in the corner of her eye.
“Your still following me.”
“Of course!”
“So you've seen me.”
“See who?!”
“Stay back, Ria.”
“Are you going to attack?” Yuma squints her eyes in his direction and hey flies back and hits the wall.
“I just did.” The Elite vamp. gets up and dusts him self off.
“You are strong, but are you stronger than me? “I guess we’ll have to see.” He clinches his hand and it turns black and his nails get long and sharp. Yuma looks at him as if he was nothing. He starts to run toward Yuma and he turns rapidly and strikes Ria down. Ria lets out a scream and then nothing else.
“Ria!” Yuma runs to Ria, she isn’t moving. She looks at her face but her eyes are life less. she begins to cry. “Ria!” Ria's dress is now drenched in blood and tears. Yuma stops crying, the hallway is silent. She stands up turns around and glares with hate at the vampire, her eyes glow red. A tear falls off her cheek. “Aw, are you mad I killed your sister? I'll let you join her in a while.” Yuma says nothing. She lifts up her hand and swings it to the left and he flies the same direction.
“So that's what it is ,telekinesis, to bad its not going to help you.” Yuma takes a knife out of a hidden pocket in her boot, throws it and uses telekinesis to propel it. It goes directly threw his neck, he stands still and suddenly he turns to dust. She stands there almost in a state of shock. Yuma lets out a loud cry is she begins to do the same. “Ria!” She falls to her knees and picks up and hold her in her arms. “Ria!” The A in her names echoes as she cries. She lets out one last cry, and then she starts to destroy every thing in her path. She screams and cries out, “How could you go and leave me and die!” She telekinetically throws a bolder threw a wall. “I need you!”
scene - out side the castle, Yuma walks out killing every vampire in her way, she stops and falls to the ground unconscious.
hours later
scene - in a dark room, there is nothing but silence.
“Can I have her now?” In an anxious voice.
“No, she's mine.” She moves toward Yuma and her face becomes disfigured as she is about to suck out all of her blood. She bites Yuma, but quickly pulls back and screams because Yuma’s blood is pure almost like holy water. “Kill her!” The vampire comes close to her and Yuma opens her eyes and kicks him in the chest and he turns to dust. “What?”
“ I've got blades every where.”
“ Wretched witch, I will kill you!” She shimmers out of the room. Yuma throws a knife, but it misses. She walks out of the room, she sees that it’s the hallway (but somehow it was all put back together), but where is her sister's body and where is the blood? She begins to walk down the wall, trying not to cry.
Hours later.
As she continues down the hall, she comes to a dead end, she turns around she sees a vampire, she runs toward him with fury and rage. "DIE!", she attacks and gives no mercy. Her finger nails become sharp daggers, she stabs them into his chest and he turns to dust instantly. Yuma gets up and walks down the hall to see a door that wasn't there before. “What is that?” She goes to the door. (its black with a copper handle.) She opens the door. the person in the door is her (but it wasn’t her reflection, It was really her.) She puts her hand up and so does the other person, she touches the other persons hand and suddenly a blinding light consumes everything. Yuma wakes up on the ground to hear Ria’s voice, “Yuma, get up Yuma.” Ria holds her hand out to help Yuma up. Yuma looks up to see Ria, she’s stunned. “Ria!” She gets up squeezes Ria's body. “Ria!” She couldn’t help but cry. “I thought I lost you.”
“What are you talking about?”
“ What !? She looks around. “ Where are we?”
“That doesn’t matter, you got a pretty nasty bump on your head let's go get that checked out.” She starts to feel the pain in the back of her head. “No, I can heal it , she draws a symbol on her hand and places it on the back of her head.”
“What are you talking about, Yuma ?, you don't have any magical powers, this is earth, you must have been hit hard.”
“What?” The small wound on her head didn't heal.
scene - at the doctor's office
“Well, I think that is gunna need stitches. Can you tell me how that happened?” “Um, I don’t remember.”
That may be a sign on a concussions, I would like you to stay over night.”
“Okay.”
“ Yuma, what’s wrong, your acting like you've forgotten something.”
“Yeah, my magic.” she says under her breath.
“What was that.”
“Nothing.”
hours later - at the hospital, it's dark out side.
Yuma yawns and her eyes start to get heavy. “Man I’m tired.” She says to her self. She starts to slowly blink as if she wanted to stay awake, she closes her eyes and goes to sleep. She starts to see the blood on her hands, Ria’s blood. She hears her self scream and cry and remembers how overwhelming it was, she sees the blood and tears all over Ria’s cloths, but suddenly she hears something. “Yuma, Yuma, wake up.” Yuma groans in a scratch voice and Ria wakes her um. “Leave me alone I wanna sleep.”
“ Don’t you wanna go home?” She says in a cheerful voice, Yuma jumps up. “Home?, I haven’t been there in a while.”
“ What are you talking about, you were there yesterday.” Yuma makes a face of concern and confusion.
Scene - out side of the hospital they are walking down the street
“Your favorite show “Black magic” is on.”
“Black magic?”
“Yeah, ya’ know, the show about the girls that have magical powers…, its your favorite.” Yuma doesn’t say anything, she just stairs into space. They get in to the cap that is waiting for them. “Twenty-fourth and south, please.”
“That’ll be six dollars.” “Here you go.” The man turns around to take the money and Yuma realizes that he looks exactly like the demon she killed. She gasps. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s him, It’s him!”
“Hey lady!”
“Sorry, my sister had an accident, she’s still kinda crazy.”
“I am not!”
“Ya’ know what, I don’t need this, here’s ya’ money, get out!” They get out and close the door and the car drives away.
“ Ah man, well I guess we have to walk, let’s go.” she sighs and then grabs Yuma’s hand and they begin to walk. They get about a mile and a half and Yuma falls to the ground and starts to cough. “Yuma, are you okay?!” She coughs a little bit more. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah.” She stands up and they begin to walk again.
“What’s wrong?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean first you say you lost me, you say you can heal your self and now your screaming and saying “It’s him! In a sarcastic voice.” Yuma looks at Ria knowing that she is making fun of her. “Um-” A car crashes into a water hydrant. People are gasping and randomly calling out “Call the police!” Yuma runs toward the car and sees a woman in her early thirties, Yuma tries to pull on the door handle but it won’t budge. “Hello, can you her me?” The woman is partly unconscious, she tilts her head and Yuma sees a big gash. She goes to the other side and it won’t open either. She starts to walk backward and she runs and kicks the window. She opens the door from the inside and sees a child unconscious as well. She climbs into the back seat and unbuckles his seat belt and picks him up. Ria runs to the car. “What are you doing!”
“Here, take him.” She gives the boy to her. “Call the police.”
“I already did.” Ria walks back across the street holding the boy.
“Ma’am, hello?” The woman groans. She opens the door to the other side and gets out and runs back to the woman. “Can some one help me ?!” A young man that looks partially muscular runs to her. “Can you take her out.”
“ Um, yeah.” The man pick her up and carries her to the side walk.
“Thank you.”
“Any time.” The sirens of the police cars sound close by now. The paramedics appear by the car. The man takes the woman to them and Ria follows. The woman and her child get strapped in and the doors close and they drive away. The man runs back across the street to his girlfriend. Yuma feels something wet on her forehead, she looks up at see the it starts to rain. She smiles and walks away.
Scene- in the darkness
It’s dark and there is a feeling of nothingness. “Hello, is anybody there?
Where am I? She says to herself.
“It’s time…”
“Who’s there?!”
“Only who you want it to be.”
“ What is that supposed to mean?”
“I am nothing unless you want me to be something.”
“Where am I?”
“ You aren’t anywhere.”
“Then what happened because the last thing I remember is going to sleep and waking up here, wait that’s it, I’m still asleep.”
“ Are you sure.”
“What are you talking about.”
“You haven’t waken up, at least your other self hasn‘t.”
“ What do mean?”
“Do you remember when you hit your head?”
“ Yes?”
“That is when you and your other self switched bodies.”
“Only when there is nothing, can there be something.”
“So your saying that I was somehow transported into a different reality, in my other body?”
“ In a way.”
“ So was my other self in my real body?”
“Yes. “
“So I wasn’t dreaming that I had powers?!”
“No you weren’t.”
“ Yes!… Wait, is Ria still dead?
“… Yes.”
“What! So after All I went through, she still doesn’t come back?!”
“I’m sorry.”
“No you aren’t sorry, You are going to take me back to the Ria I have, now.”
“I can’t.”
“ Why?”
“Because she doesn’t belong to you, she belongs to the other you.”
She begins to cry. “I lost my sister and I am going to get her back!”
“ You can’t do that, you don’t have the power.”
“You don’t even know me, so how dare you say that! Bring me back to where I belong.”
“ As you wish.” The voice disappears, but it is still dark.
“Hello… Yuma”
“Who’s there?”
“ It’s me.” She begins to cry again because she realizes who it is, [it’s] Ria.
“ Don’t cry, Yuma. It’s my fault I died, Don’t blame your self.”
“ Is this really you?” Ria appears out of the dark in a long white dress, she gives Yuma a hug and wipes away the tears. “It’s time to go.”
“I don’t want to leave.”
“ You have to, I can’t hold you back from your life because your not done yet.”
“I want to stay here.”
“You can’t but if you ever feel like giving up, take this.” She gives a white piece of paper to her. “There is a picture of you and me on the back.” Yuma looks at the picture and when she looks up Ria is gone. “… I guess it is time to go.” She closes her eyes and wakes up by the door.
Chapter 2 : the rude awakening
She looks at the picture and it says open it. “Open what?” She looks around and she sees that the only thing there is to open is the door. She stands there for a little bit and reluctantly, she opens the door.
“Hello, Yuma, its been a long time.”
“Why are you here?”
“I’m here to tell you why your sister had to die.”
“What are you talking about, I know why my sister died because I wasn’t strong enough to save her.”
“Don’t blame yourself.”
“Then who should I blame, if I was paying attention then maybe she wouldn’t have died.”
“He” sent them.
“What!?”
“He had to choose you over her and I couldn’t let you die because if u did, she would too. One of you had to die to safe the world.”
“But why Us!? Why Ria, she was my sister.” She begins to cry. “She was MY SISTER! Couldn’t you have picks some one else in the world?”
“There was no one was as strong as you.”
“I hate you, I hate you!” She screams and cries, he walks to her and hugs her, she doesn’t push him away. She looks him in the eyes. “Will I get her back?”
“I don’t know. But you journey isn’t over yet.” She turns and walks away. ”It never is.”
“Stop.” She turns to him.
“Yes?” Suddenly he appears right in front of her.
“What are you doing?” He stabs her in the heart, and she falls to the ground. “How could you?”
“You fool, I’m not who you think.” He morphs into the queen vampire. “It was nice.” She stands still and stares at Yuma and then turns into a bat and flies away. As the blood seeps out of her chest she hears something. She doesn’t turn to look because she knows that she is going to die. She turns her head, and closes her eyes. “Hey, can you hear me?!” He runs grabs her wrist and sees if there is a pulse. “Is she alive?”
“I can barely feel a pulse, here, help me put her on the table.” The men pick her and gently lay her on the table. “Give me the tonic.” The man hastily searches for it and finds it under a cloth. “Here.” He gives it to him and then the other man slowly pours it into her mouth. She swallows and the wound in her chest disappears. “She’s still unconscious.”
“I know.” He starts to give her CPR and pumps her chest. After a few minutes he realizes that there’s no hope. “She’s gone.” His servant starts to frown. “She was such a pretty lady.” The man picks her up and walks outside. They make their way to a cliff with a patch of flowers, the servant starts to dig a hole. The man places her in the ground and then start to cover her with dirt. They finish and the men bow their heads. “She was such a pretty girl.”
“You already said that.”
“ Um, Sir Smith.”
“ Edger, you need to be quiet, we just buried someone, we need to give her respect.” Edger starts to poke Sir Smith on the shoulder and point to Yuma’s grave. “Then why wont she stay buried?”
“What are you talking about?” He looks up and sees a hand sticking out of her grave. “That’s a good question.” Sir smith starts to walk to her grave and then grabs her hand and pulls her out. “Are you okay?”
“I just died, what do you think!?” She looks down at her skirt. “This was my favorite skirt!”



PART TWO(transition from third to first person.)
It was blazing hot, that day in Remosty (Rê-musty). I had just finished building my sanctuary. It took me all day and I messed up twice. Smith and Ed spent their time at the creek and I didn’t feel like joining them so I kept to myself. My wound still isn’t fully healed and I wonder if I ever will. Smith told me that I died and that when a person dies and then gets brought back to life, it takes time for the body to catch up.
Sometimes I think I’m dead because pain doesn’t hurt anymore, maybe I’m just numb from the pain of losing a sister… I never really forgave Ria for dieing… I realized that I can never get her back. Sometimes I think I see her walking by, but then I remember she’s gone. I can’t use telekinesis anymore or not yet anyway. I have a new power though, its called telepathic hypnosis (The ability of mind control), and that makes a total of three powers: telekinesis, telepathic hypnosis, and pyrokinesis (The ability to create fire with her mind). Smith told me not to use my powers in Remosty, they burn witches and send them to Hell. Ed told me that he wouldn’t let them touch me. I know that Ed is different but I also know that he would never hurt me.
I feel like I’m slowly drifting away, I’ve become reserved and quiet. We are leaving Remosty, tomorrow, we have to stock up on food and water first. Smith and Ed should be coming back at around six.
I’ve was putting the finishing touches on the sanctuary, when Smith came back. “Hey, where’s Ed?”
“He’s playing in the creek.”
“Okay, can you go get him?”
“Why? He’s having fun.” I looked at him as if I was going to come across the room and attack him. “Go get him, now.” He looked at me, about to say something, but then just turned and exited the room. I didn’t know why I got so angry, neither did Smith.
I had just got (woken) up and I looked around, rubbing my eyes, I noticed that Ed wasn’t there. “Smith?” I went out of the sanctuary and looked for Smith. I looked around the sanctuary and I saw him, I saw Smith on the ground. Dead. “Smith!” his throat was slit and there was blood everywhere. “No!, No, this can’t be happening, Not again!” The sad reality of it was that it actually was happening. Smith was dead and Ed was missing, I had no idea what was going on, for all I knew, Ed could be dead as well. I didn’t understand why this had to happen to me, I still don’t. “Smith!” A men started to run toward me, while women and children gathered around. “What happened here?” He looked at me and then at Smith’s dead body.
“He’s dead.” A child exclaimed. His mother quickly scolded him and then returned her attention back to the murder. “What happened here?” He said again. While whipping my eyes. “I don’t know.”
“Smith!” I was startled by the voice behind me, because I knew it was Ed. I turn to him and gently lay against him, and I softly said, “He’s dead.” Ed’s eyes began to water and I knew he was going to cry. “Can’t you use your magic?”
The man glanced towards me, “Magic?” I let go of Ed but held on to his hand. “Yes, I’m a witch.” The crowed of people let out some what of a gasp, then a woman Screamed, “Witch, She did it, Burn the witch, send her back to Hell!
(The people of Remosty thought witches came from hell, evil ones did.) “ Why would I kill my friend?!”
“Kill her!” I looked around, I couldn’t believe this was happening, I knew that if things got to far out of hand that I would have to use my magic. “Let’s go.” I tugged at Ed’s hand at tried to run but he wouldn’t let me. “What about smith?”
“I’m sorry Ed, smiths gone.” I tried to run again but he still wouldn’t let me. “They did it.” A scowl started to form on his face.
“Who, did what?” He began to wipe the tears from his eyes.
“They killed Smith.” I looked startled, I don’t know how he came up with that assumption. “No, I don’t think they did.” They started to through rocks at us and I saw men carrying torches come at us. “Ed, we have to go, now.” The emoticon left his face, I never saw that look on his face before. “ No.” He let go of my hand and he did something I never thought he could do. He fought back. “Ed, no, you can’t hurt them!”
“Yes I can, they want to hurt you and look at what happened to Smith!” He grabbed one of the men by the neck and threw him at a building. I was horrified by what Ed had become. The rage that he never expressed finally took over, he was no longer Ed, he was a monster.
I didn’t want Ed to hurt those people, even if they were attacking us, I had to stop him before he did something he would regret. “ Ed. Please stop.” I knew he couldn’t hear me. “Please stop.” People were attacking him and he did the same, back at them.
I didn’t know what to do anymore, things were spinning out of control. I began to feel like I was no longer apart of these surroundings, I felt light headed, almost weightless. “Stop it NOW!” I eyes were closed and everything was silent. I gradually opened them. Everything had stopped, people were frozen in their positions, I walked over to Ed, and I looked at his face, I saw tears. For some reason, that made me feel better, I thought I had lost the Ed that I knew, but those tears told me that he was still there.
I put my hand on his cheek and I wiped his tears away. I began to cry again. “It’s okay, Ed, you don’t have to fight.” I started to walk away from Ed and I closed my eyes. I concentrated on restoring time. I began to hear screams and metal clash. I looked around and saw people attacking one another. I knew what I had to do. I had to stop them.
My body erupted in fire and I reluctantly began to walk towards my victims. I swung my arm and fire spat out.
Once the fire touched them, they were ashes. I only attacked the men, they were the only ones fighting. A man came at me with a dagger, (apparently not realizing that I was on fire.) I set him on fire and he let out a cry right before he was replaced with ashes.
