Bittersweet

Do you ever feel the emptiness, do you ever hear the fall.
Have you ever seen the tide come in, have you ever felt so small.

Could you ever taste the bitterness, or that kiss that wonders in.

Can you find a way to let me in to touch your broken soul.
Talk about the new beginnings and reminisce about the old.

Travel down these roads, these little streets unknown, and take me to the places, the places
I will go.

Take me I'm left dreaming, hold me I'm left cold.

So I'm left to feel the emptiness while time it passes by, and somewhere in this hobby I begin to wonder why.

Secrets keep on ticking, and days will go on by but the ink of a poets pen will never ever die.

So now I've filled the emptiness of days, and the tides of life in ways.

Now I taste the bittersweet in many wondrous ways, and my life will keep on living in the prose of a poets daze.

Have you thought about leaving a video entry of one of your poems? I always hear verse in one way when I read or write it, but I know that everyone hears it differently and experiences it differently. Since quarterlife is set up so you could, it would be cool to hear it directly from you, either video or audio. just a thought
