I stood in the front yard near the

Extended family and yelled

"I don’t belong to the faith I belong to the fate" and they

Stood and stared

At me and I thought maybe I'm not up to the

Status quo

Whatever that means.

There's something about those

Those cowboys who told me maybe I should have

Kept my blues

In my pocket

The one in the back of my pants

The ones that make me sing those

Sea shanties and make me

Reason with the rain thinking hey,

Maybe I've found my irony.

But not my phenomenon yet.

And now I just sit there

And wait for more Christmas presents and I

Think about a pirate night that might be ahead of me.

Those hallways those carpets those back stairs

If it's not too dry it's too wet

This savior of blood, this questionnaire

They were squeezing my chest and I wished I had a

Time machine and a lobster tart.

Or at least a smoke screen.

But I guess that's just the way it is.
