current status: boring

it boggles my mind how absolutely boring my life has become.


i cant stand not having my friends home during the school year. i honestly have not made friends at my school since i transfered this year. Ive made aquaintances that i talk to on an in-class basis, and they are really great kids. but the thing is that they practically ARE kids. theyre freshman, and they are all connected with eachother and have made cliques with eachother. Because lets face it, who doesnt cling to the people who are going through the same thing when you're starting something new? I know i did when i started. So i cant blame them. its weird when i talk to them, it makes me feel really old, which in reality i really am no where near old.


to be frank- it just really sucks.

here is a letter to a nice old man i met while working my morning shift at the pool i lifeguard at:


dear really nice (but completely oblivious to modern culture) old man,

You were really kind to me when i worked my shift at weston field the other morning. but i have to tell you: Dana IS a real name. Its not that i have an accent and that Its actually short for 'Dianne' or 'Deanna' and its certainly not short for Debra; its also definitely not a nickname, all of which you have insist on being correct about. I think that during our eleven minute (exactly) conversation on how 'im a very sweet girl, but ive got to be kidding you, dana is not a real name,' there was great effort on my part to convince you that, infact, dana IS an actual name. and even though(while being pretty funny)it will probably start getting really annoying from now on, every time you call me 'Deb,' (short for Debra, which according to you is my actual name) i will not be rude and correct you.
