disillusioned

joining wasn't as fun as i thought it might be. immediately i'm turned off by the necessity to choose a sex and to have only 'guy' and 'girl' to choose from. do i consider my sex information as critical to who i am? not really. do i find it ridiculous that it's mandatory? yes. do i wonder about the spectrum that exists in not only sex identity but in biology itself and where it leaves individuals who might not easily fit themselves into the pink box or the blue box? of course.

it's pretty discouraging.
