English Essay.

Feb 27, 2008 - 19:58 PM PST

I had to write a personal narrative for english. I'm putting it on here mostly because i dont want to lose it but yall (there i go again, excuse my texasness) can read it if you want. I pretty much half assed it but its decent. But since i had to turn it in for a grade i couldn't say what i really feel about the people in my life.

A day in my life-

Beep…beep…beep

I look at the clock. 6:01.

Yes the extra minute makes a difference.

Time to get up.

I go through my morning schedule. Shower. Brush teeth. Comb hair.

Then I make myself breakfast, usually eggs, toast and of course coffee.

I’m about halfway done enjoying my meal when I hear a car horn go off.

Crap.

I scarf down the rest of it and quickly get my things together.

I lock my house and walk to the green mini van parked in front of my house.

“Good morning Hannah, good morning Ms. Connell.”

Fifteen minutes later we arrive at Guyer for Show Choir practice.

After an hour of singing (and doing algebra homework at the same time), the bell rings.

As I’m walking to first block I see one of my good friends.

“Kimmy!” I walk over to hug her. We associate with each other for a few minutes then head off to our classes.

Algebra. Just the word alone makes me sick to my stomach. It’s not that I’m bad at it. It’s just busy work to me.

Lexi is the only person I really talk to in this class.

“Alright class, lets begin.” said Mrs. Meza.

I won’t go into detail about the horrific things we had to do.

An hour and a half later the bell rings.

I start walking to my next class, which is conveniently on the other side of the school. But I somehow make time to stand and talk.
On the way there I run into two people, Ben and Lexi (a different Lexi). We chat until we are almost late.

Second block is Journalism. It’s an easy class; I joined it because Creative Writing was during choir and I didn’t want to quit it. Basically we have to write two articles a month on whatever the topic is.

I always sit by Tyler and Jessi. Since this is a blow off class we just talk the whole time.

Next comes choir. It’s very self explanatory.

There isn’t really a seating chart but we have to sit in our own part. Altos sit on the far left then tenors then basses and on the far right sopranos. I always sit by Ben. He is a tenor/bass as am I so we usually sing the same part.

After third block I have D lunch. There are two groups of people that I sit by. Hannah, Sydney, Kate. Erica, and Parker are group A. Group B are Kelby, Lauren, Ben, Rachael, and Kate (different Kate).

For lunch I get either a cheese pizza or a salad. Depending on which line is shorter.

After lunch is the last class of the day. German. I sit by a few people, Faith, Matt, and Kimmy. I like learning in this class but it’s kind of hard to learn when the teacher can’t control the students. Hopefully Pre-AP German II won’t be so bad.

I hate riding the bus, almost as much as I hate Algebra. The bus always smells and it’s always loud.

It makes the bus a lot more bearable when you have people to talk to. I talk to Julie and Jessi (a different Jessi). Hannah used to sit by us too until her father started to pick her up.

When I get home I take up my daily amount of TV until dinner time. And if I don’t have homework I’ll go eat dinner at the country club with my 8th grade friends. I was sad when I left for high school.

The country club is the small restaurant in the middle of Lantana so it’s close enough to walk to. And since we are poor teenagers all we can afford is salsa and chips.

I never stay out too late. 8th graders have early curfews.

When I get home I get ready for bed. I brush my teeth and change into pajama bottoms and a T-shirt.

If I have homework I’d do it now. As well as check my myspace and e-mail.

If I do have any extra free time I’ll read until I fall asleep. I fall asleep around 10:30.

Then tomorrow I have to do it all over again.

Beep…beep…beep

I look at the clock. 6:01.

Yes the extra minute makes a difference.
