Eternal Being

I close my eyes to block the pain
To keep away the driving rain
Hope, it falls a curtain so deep
Of obscurity and uncertainty
When all we want is sleep
Lust, a tide it crashes ashore
It drowns me, it takes me and I lust for more
Plans in my mind are clear as day
Shut out from the world and locked away
For the key I place in hand
to unlock the door, the pain, understand
the need is there and never dies
it scratches and claws it's way inside
contentment, satisfaction come to my door
open it up, unlocked once more
with the key, I gave and the wind rushes in
blows us down, penetrates the skin
as we look upwards we can view
the eternal being of me and you.
