stepfathers in wayfarers
in those miserable copper-coloured hills

the chefs of foreign intervention
visits of the infinitely finagling

we stumble and splay prone,
all too short of the summit

The haves and the have nots eh Word? If ever I become part of that coveted top 5% someday, I will adopt the trickle up theory and become the world's greatest philanthropist/humanitarian. It seems only fitting.

'all too short of the summit' ..isn't that the truth. I like it.. I think it conveys the emotion and feeling that we all have about foreign policy. :)
