I Am Independent

I took my FIRST midterm for school last night & I actually passed. My teacher had conferences with each one of us & I had a 96. I couldn't believe it I mean I actually got an A on my midterm. All through high school I was lucky to get a C on a test. Never had an A on a test in 4 years - how bad is that? I studied my little ass off & I actually succeeded in something. My grades and going to school are the most important things to me right now. Getting older and actually being able to say I have a career is probably one of the biggest things i have strived for since day one. My mom didn't graduate because she had me at 17 . She ever went back which was her fault honestly. She has always put her "men" first in life and put my brother & i last. This may have sucked but it made me a better person & made me who i am today. She may not be proud of me but I am proud of me and so is my dad and other family members and my friends. I work hard for everything i got. I cant afford a lot right now but one day i will be able to. And knowing that i got it on my own will only make me enjoy it ten times better. I am Independent and i am fine with that.
