In Touch?Mar 06, 2008 - 03:49 AM PST Why on earth is it so difficult to find motivation to check up on friends and family? I constantly find myself curious of their experiences, though the majority of the time I never ask them about it. I mean HECK, we have text messaging; we have Facebook, myspace, etc...; We have transportation: and (though many don't want to admit it) we have the time. Yes, the infamous "I've just been so busy" excuse. I use it, we all use it. But is that really true? The "busy" part has much truth to it, but I know for a fact that if I just sat down and messaged 3-5 friends concerning their day it would take no more than 5, maybe 10 minutes. Are you staying "In touch?" Do you know what excitements and what problems are going on in your friend's lives? No..? THEN ASK THEM!!! If only we made encouraging our friends and inquiring about their lives a priority... more people would feel loved and encouraged; more people would know what to pray about. The next time you are curious about someone you know; about their day; just give them a little shout and a word of encouragement. They'll appreciate it more than you know! |
