intent

i met with the Graduate Chair and she was honest enough to let me know flat out that my grades are not going to be enough to get me into the program. did i break down and cry in her office? no, thankfully, though i thought i was close at some points. she did tell me how impressed she was that i had taken a courses in math, archeology, humanities, earth science, french and education while still managing to complete a double major. she said not a lot of people can pull that off. so go me, i guess? but she also said that when she was an undergrad she never took a class she thought she would get a B in. had i used that logic my GPA might not be the lowish 3.32 that it is.

i need to rewrite my letter of intent and she gave me some guidelines that are going to be extremely helpful and then i just need to resign myself to the fact that it won't be up to me anymore.
