Is there a higher power?

Mar 21, 2008 - 19:48 PM PST

I don't have a straight answer for this, but my curiosity doesn't go away. Everyone has their own take on it, and everyone always has something to say. I have believed in god in the past.

When people die, what explanation do we have? We get nothing. My 13 year old cousin passed this summer of a heart attack. This isn't like losing your grandmother after she battles old age for three years. I'm not trying to downplay your grandmother. But how am I supposed to believe in a higher power when a healthy and active 13 year old who's never drank, smoked or done drugs has his heart stop at boy scout camp?

I respect people who have found strength in religion and I really want the happiness through it that I see radiating from other people. I just want to know, how does it happen. How do you put all of your faith into something you can't see?

Hey I know I've had my doughts especially with the kind of things I've gone thru at a very young age (read The Forgotten and any of my other stuff for that matter)...and in today's religion you're right there are no answers to death that we all have, and if you ask often the answer is "we're not meant to understand...or it's a mystery...God work's in mysterious ways" whatever...I found something that actually gave me answers from the Bible (which I don't know if you trust that or not but at least it's something you can see right?) It's also backed up by history...I wouldn't mind sharing some of things I've found, if you want?? LET ME KNOW< just email me a message, I like to help people, but only if they want the help so if not just tell me to get a life, OK hope things are well!!! :)
