Keyboard CrutchesMar 11, 2008 - 19:23 PM PST I don't know how many times I sit back behind this thing called a computer and read how people want to meet someone new, a special someone who is just right for them, or a sole mate that is some where out there if they could just find that one special person. Well here's the problem, you're behind a computer and there is no one around you. That's right there is no one there. Accept it and stop try to fool yourself into be leaving that you are truly going to get to know someone typing away at your keyboard. You can't get to know someone until you really get to know them in person. Even then it takes a while. Face it; you are still alone only substituting true social interaction with a worry free substitute that is not even close to real interaction with someone. Not that you can't start a conversation online and then actually follow up with actually meeting someone. The internet is great for chatting and meeting new people, but isn't it a waist of time if you never find out who they really are. Maybe it is easer for you to never actually have to deal with meeting someone or having someone else judge you. Maybe you are scared of rejection But, is sitting behind a keyboard all that you want? Is that all it takes to satisfy you? Don't you want more than the buzzing of a computer to keep you company? Well, than make a choice, take an active role in you life. Move away from the fat producing screen, walk out the door, take a chance, and leave you keyboard crutches behind. So take a chance! Do something! Anything! |
