I just started listening to Relient K again, I used to be so obsessed with them. But in one of their songs, it said something along the lines of "to live, you have to give your life away". It made me think. When I was eleven, I thought I had the entire world and myself figured out because I gave my life to God. Now, I don't know if I took it back, or if it was thrown back at me because I'm so confused about everything now. I doubt it was thrown back at me, but I always used to think that once you believed and trusted in God, nothing could go wrong. I also thought you could never get your life back (so I felt kinda safe someway) because I thought it was like selling your soul to the devil, but just it was the better thing to do.
