my relay for life experience

May 19, 2008 - 07:56 AM PST

So every year I am part in Relay for life which is a great organization to help aid the american cancer society. This year we raised 700000 which is almost 200000 more than last year. The weather was beautiful and so many people showed up it was amazing. I got officially put on the commitee board which is surprising considering Im going to be the youngest person ever on the committee. The one that I participate is one of the largest in New England. We have live bands, and horse back riding, and demonstrations from many different organizations from hula hooping to mui tai. The thing that amazed me while there is that so many people have passion that I used to have and am greatly lacking. I used to have passion while playing sports, but I no longer have that option as I am not good enough to play on the college team and don't have the time to play on a rec team. I used to have passion about playing my saxophone, but now my sister plays it at her highschool. My fiance is passionate about his job, he just graduated and got a job in the financial management. I don't have any passion about any perspective job, and my schedule is so hectic that I feel passionless. I don't have time to enjoy anything that I have accomplished, but honestly I don't really have that much to feel good about accomplishing. I don't want to say that I am depressed about where my life has gone or is, but I almost feel empty. Like there is nothing else to feel.
