My Second Blog Entry

That is amazing people actually read what I wrote.
This is true. There is so much talented musicians and music teachers that make you work on so many different skills... but sometimes they forget the real goal: make music. That's why I don't want to take music courses or to hire a teacher. The bad thing about some musicians is that they end up thinking that a composition is good, only if it's complexe, or hard to play. I think that a good tune is the one that you can listen to over and over. Music is there to sound good, to evoke feelings in first place. The complexity is a detail. In fact I welcome minimalism (to a certain extent), because to me it is pure music, without pretention.

i agree fully... even after 8 years of voice lessons and a slew of music theory courses. fighting the complexity is frustrating... you do it beautifully.

i think that is with anything. i think when you start trying to get lessons on something you already know it ruins the talent you have. i once took singing lessons after already being able to sing decently...to inhance my skills...it took me fourmonths to get my good voice back. but like my writing... i know i could never be a journalist... i can write on demand but when i know that someoneexcpects something out of it...then i become really bad.
