no sleep

couldn't sleep a wink last night
felt like my eyes were glued wide
crazy thoughts kept coming up
i just couldn't push them aside
like a coffee-sugar buzz combined
tried counting sheep, it did no good
told my mind to chill the fuck out
i guess i was misunderstood
looked at the clock at 2am
looked again at 3:45
only four more hours til i'm off to work
i'll look like the walking dead, alive
insomnia's got its hold on me
haven't dreamt in a couple weeks
i'm doing everything i can
to catch some needed zzz's
