One inhuman satelliteMar 31, 2008 - 12:18 PM PST The sun hangs up above my head The beauty of the sky And as I gaze into her rays I feel this day is mine Walking slowly through the glade Scorched grass yields under pressure The morning sun denies all shade From smoldering beams I think we’ve been here once before Excess layers left at your door The sun set soon, we wished for more But we knew we’d have it soon Make way for the crystal moon The day has left so once again I’ll retreat home, put on my shoes Ready for the night ahead Yeah I’m ready for some fun Night owls, they begin to rise I’m one of them, this is my time Some beauty creeps into this place This kingdom of lies The moon draws stares, so pale and sad It mourns the loss of one more day One inhuman satellite Reflects our most secret emotions This night is dead so once again I’ll stumble home into my bed Ready for a repeat I hope we get a repeat. |
