Overwhelming

each human is born with a head
a torso, arms or legs, most times both
and for better or worse, a brain
we think with these and can create demise
tear down buildings that rose out of rubble
and implement our own sort of structure
on the way that animals live their lives
we have moved in on everything here
and we can choose to destroy everything
in one quick second
fortunate for ourselves, we're born with a heart
although, lately, it seems we're not all functioning.
