I know your mind
I see what you do
So how come
You don’t see me too?

I give and I give
You take and you take
I’m afraid you’ve become
My biggest mistake

Here I cry for you
I laugh and I love
But there’s not much there
When push comes to shove

I can’t do this alone
Don’t you realize I’m weak?
But when I need to talk
I’m afraid I can’t speak

Your face makes me nervous
Your eyes break me down
Being here is so hard
Now you give me a frown

It makes everything worse
I did nothing wrong
I was always honest
In those poems, in that song

Wasn’t it me that asked
For you to be my friend?
Give me your thoughts
I can’t let it end

My heart’s already broken
Must it happen again?
When I though I was climbing
I fell deeper in

So let’s make a toast
To this moment, this night
When you looked blankly past me
As I crept out of sight.
