Hold my head up high
Trying not to cry
The past always creeps up on me
Beating me up inside
The lightning in my brain
Leaves me in shock, almost insane
When will this pain be tamed?
Will this feeling ever fade away?

Am I living a normal life,
Is everything alright?
Never smileing, never fake
Always real everyday.
People ask "is she okay?"
Sure she is, just let her pay.

Is this what we call "paying the price"
The price of pain is just too much
(Just let go of yesterday, everything will be okay)
Letting go is all too hard
Just push through, life goes on.
