Part 1

While acknowledging the existence of all polarities and human conditioning
the Taoist sage harmonizes right with wrong and rests in the balance of nature doing this without empowering the idea of good or evil forces....

Liberated of attachments and able to abandon conditioning and the belief systems of human society and the human ego, the enlightened Taoist transcends the low energy of dominating attitudes that breeds competition, power trips, insecurity, anger, pride, violence and hatred. There is a bit of yang in everything that is yin and yin in everything that is yang. Good and evil, portrayed as absolute seperates do not acknowledge the existence and possibilities of universal harmony. By harmonizing or defusing polarities, the balanced person liberates the self from the attachments that cause anger, desire, sorrow, separation, and expectations. Although a Taoist experiences those feelings, s/he is able to recognize the transience/impermenance of all things, the temporary state of everything as everything changes the only thing that is static is that everything changes and with this understanding one can flow with the way.

Excerpt from the Tao de Ching:

When people call something beautiful,
ugliness comes into being.
When people call something good,
evil comes into being.

Those who wish to attain oneness must practice undiscriminating virtue.
They must dissolve all ideas of duality: good and bad,
beautiful and ugly, high and low.
They will be obliged to abandon any mental bias born of cultural or religious belief.
Indeed, they should hold their minds free of any
thought which interferes with their understanding of the universe as a harmonious oneness.

Part 2

Ecology of the Tao

verse 39 from the Tao de Jing:

In harmony with the Tao,
the sky is clear and spacious,
the earth is solid and full,
all creature flourish together,
content with the way they are,
endlessly repeating themselves,
endlessly renewed.

When man interferes with the Tao,
the sky becomes filthy,
the earth becomes depleted,
the equilibrium crumbles,
creatures become extinct.

The Master views the parts with compassion,
because he understands the whole.
His constant practice is humility.
He doesn't glitter like a jewel
but lets himself be shaped by the Tao,
as rugged and common as stone.

There is no difference:

In modern and ancient Taoism, a person is born into a preconceived consciousness of the conditioned mind of the society we are born into. Then society and our cultural conditioning and saturation is indoctrinated into our conscience during the time we are children and growing up, we are passively aggressively force fed an illusion that society wants us to believe or buy into. Practicing the Tao like living and practicing the Toltec Four Agreements, also allows one to become detached from our cultural conditioning and the illusion of society and everyday human life, In Taoism heaven can be achieved here in this physical realm, again like in the Toltec belief, the Taoist heaven can be achieved with the clear mind or no mind state which creates a state of energised bliss and feeling of oneness with all.

Our individual essence is separate but also connected to humanity, except people just do not think they are connected because they buy into the modern illusion......usually we do not realize this till some profound or life changing experience happens that shakes us up to question this indoctrinated programming which gives us the opportunity to connect with the true essence of ourselves and again is what Terrence McKenna advocates, "culture is your operating system" "we are not our culture"...this can be done without plant chemical enhancement (I do not encourage everyone like Terrence McKenna does, to take lots of mind altering plant chemicals to step outside of the programmed mind although it is a short cut.)...we can separate our true essence from cultural conditioning through meditation and reprogramming ones empty mind outside the conventional conditioned operating system....Even what we think are our own opinions can be part of our cultural conditioning...but to get in touch with the essence of our primal and ancient wisdom it is important to detach ourselves form that conditioning and "reprogramme our minds/ cultural conditionings"....in doing so we also free ourselves of many chains that bound us to suffering and depending on conventional society because we are no longer buying into the illusion of what we thought ourselves to be in relation to modern western society, instead we are part of a bigger more real resonance with "god" by freeing ourselves from the "illusion" that we have lived in . In Daoism using qigong one can access the subconscious and super conscious minds and receive insights from them but also implant into them something that will benefit us such as positive affirmations and self development through entering the "no mind" state which connects us with the "one" or "the light" or god source....god is light and it is said so in all religious text and scriptures and it is even being acknowledged by quantum science now that light is an inexplicably intelligent energy source that shows divine as it chooses where it directs itself and travels too and it can also be influenced by thought processes....this is such a huge field and I can only conclude that from my own experiences and from that I have studied and researched and listened to from others I feel the connection to everything beyond the illusion and have done for a few years now stronger than ever before.

Albert Einstien said

"A human being is part of the whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. S/he experiences himself/herself, thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest- a kind of optical delusion of his or her consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and of a foundation for inner security"

I am not in agreement with the last part, I feel that the human consciousness is evolving for us to be able to be completely free to connect with being at one with the universe or god source phyiscally and non-physically.

We are fortunate to be living in a spiritually diverse time, there is a lot out there that the modern individual can choose to explore achieving inner personal freedom and contentment, my main point is that we are fortunate to have all of these options and to see which one fits for the individual but at the end of the day, they are all connected and pretty much lead to the same healthy principles and to the same goal and that is achieving, take a look below at a few examples of the correlations in just the two spiritual correlations between Taoism born from the Ancient Shamanic Indians and Chinese of the East and Toltec Four Agreements from the Ancient Shamanic Indians of the Americas:

* The Empty Mind state, being detached and not governed by ones emotions which relates to not taking things personally and being immune to the opinions and actions of others...this is a Taoist principle as well as a Toltec principle.

* Feeling of connection, oneness and unconditional compassion for all living things in the physical universe and in the non-physical realm is a Taoist practice as well as a Toltec aim and practice.

* Being non judgemental is a Taoist practice and relates to the Toltec Four Agreements of not making assumptions.

* Achieving balance on a daily basis with ones mind, spirit and physical body, is the same as the Toltec principle of Always doing your best.

* Being true to your word. this is an important Taoist practice as well as Toltec Agreement.

Good luck everyone on your quest for spiritual harmony, just remember we are all very connected in this journey.
