The House Fire

I worked at 9am woke up 7. Not sure what time I heard the 1st siren but it was before 8am got up looked out the windown saw a fire truck going up west Lib sat back down prob about 5 min’s later I hear more siren’s coming up west lib so I get up again look out the window see 2 more fire trucks one is the Rescue 2 truck short R-2 sit back down couple min’s later I hear like 3 more set’s of siren’s coverging from all over coming up west lib coming down police car’s are coming down Pioner which I can see from my window. So I decide to roll out a lil early I leave around 8:10 pull off my street go down the hill to the stop sign at 1st I see a bulldoze parked with it’s flasers on then up from that I notice a fire truck with the ladder up so I blow through the stop sign reaching for the cam stop half way up cause there’s a wall take a few shot’s then watch the fire for awhile. On the way home after work I drove by took the aftermath shot’s It was a bad fire found the story on local new’s site.





PITTSBURGH -- Flames broke out at a house in Beechview Tuesday morning.


Fire crews were called to the home at the corner of Sebring Avenue and Rockland Street around 8 a.m., near Beechwood Elementary School.

Flames were seen shooting from first and second floors.

Witness John Pearson said, "I looked in and the whole living room was engulfed."

The blaze gutted the two-story house.

Battalion Chief Rick Becker said, "It was a frame house with a heavy fire load. The guy had a lot of collectibles, like record collections, that burn very hot and fast."

No one was home when the fire started
